A different kind of UX Consultant

I am on a mission to rid the internet of vapid websites. I work with organizations of all sizes to help them design, build and maintain websites that actually serve their purpose - to help their owner's grow.

Flawless design and a healthy consulting relationship. Promise.

A Design Conundrum.

I got my start in the world of web design, where I quickly discovered that aesthetically pleasing results weren't enough; websites had a job to do, but many of the projects that I worked on failed to do so. They were pretty but vacant, and users were suffering.

When I discovered the world of UX design, as well as it's rich history, it felt like I had found my calling. To create products that worked, made people's lives more enjoyable, and did so without getting in their own way was, and still is, a dream come true.

But they still need to look good, right?

When I first made the switch to UX consulting, I found the opposite of my previous problem to be true; many of the UX designers that I worked with knew how to improve a site, where the buttons should go and what the headline should say, as well as how to interpret user data into viable improvements... but they couldn't design to save their lives.

It was then that I understood that a middle ground was necessary. A designer who knew how to gather and implement user feedback, without losing his sense of solid, efficient design along the way. In short, a UX consultant with a sense of aesthetic style.

The Middle Ground.

Today, that's just what I do. Every job is different, but the goal is always the same; solve problems and build sites that represent the soul of their owner's mission through stylistically diverse design, without compromising on useability.

I have developed a flexible method that allows me to chart the path forward with every client in a way that makes sense for everyone. You can read about it in detail here.

If this sounds like the type of design work that your organization has been looking for, reach out and lets get started on a project that we can both be proud of.

"We saw an increase in business within days of launching our new website."

Cody has an emotional investment that makes him feel more like a partner than a consultant. By the end of working together, we not only had a valuable new partner, but a friend both to the business and to us personally.
